Your best bet is to enroll the same finger twice, and to also enroll a 2nd finger (or thumb) twice. if you have an older iPhone running the latest iOS (12). It’s also possible that TouchID isn’t working as well, esp. That’s just the nature of our ‘modern’ technology. LastPass says it’ll work on an iPhone 4S or newer, with iOS 10 or newer, but it’s possible that older iPhones aren’t going to work as reliably. You don’t say what vintage iPhone it is, if it’s older than an iPhone 5s, then it can’t run iOS 12, which can be a problem for lots of apps. Lastly, make sure the last slider is off for Log Out on Close. Scroll down and make sure that Remember Master Password slider is ON (even though it says not recommended). Also check the auto Logout option (it should be set to “never”).
If you’ve got LastPass open on your iPhone and you’re logged in, go to the settings (gear icon bottom-right) and make sure the TouchID slider is on. Wait a few seconds then hold down the sleep/wake button to turn the iPhone back on. Hold down the wake/sleep button till the shutdown slider appears, then slide it to shut off the iPhone. Hmm, when was the last time you shut down and restarted your iPhone? My first guess would be that your iPhone is acting up and needs to be restarted.
